A round, hard crusted bread great with butter alongside supper or for sandwiches!

Artisan Bread 🍞

Prep: 2 hours 15 mins | Total: 3 hours | Yield: 1 loaf

Ingredients

  • 3½ cups - Flour
  • 1 package - Instant Yeast
  • 1¾ teaspoons - Salt
  • 1½ cups - Warm Water, 120°F to 130°F

Directions

  1. Mix flour, yeast, and salt - add warm water.
  2. Add warm water, mix and cover, rise until doubled - one and a half to two hours. Can rise overnight in the fridge.
  3. Put dutch oven in 450°F oven for 30 minutes.
  4. With floured hands, fold and stretch dough, going all around the bowl.
  5. On floured surface, turn over.
  6. Place dough on parchment paper, cover and rest 10 minutes.
  7. Put parchment paper and dough into hot dutch oven.
  8. Bake 30 minutes.
  9. Uncover and bake an additional 15 minutes, until brown.
